Biography
K.T. Kobel (b. 1988, London) is a contemporary artist based in Amsterdam. He explores suspended moments where memory, desire, and perception converge. His cinematic, figurative works isolate fragments of experience, transforming them into potent symbols that resist clear narrative.
Within these fractured spaces, eroticism emerges as tension where intimacy lingers in ambiguity. Kobel’s figures exist on the edge of becoming, held in a state of vulnerability under the gaze—their presence implicating the viewer in a subtle, voyeuristic exchange. His practice dwells in the moment memory eclipses reality, and the scene becomes a vessel for projection.

Kobel's works have been exhibited internationally at Laidbug (Tokyo), Selva (New York), Semester9 (Amsterdam), PlanX (Milan), 4BYSIX (Manchester), Hurst Contemporary and Fitzrovia Gallery (London), Nightclub Gallery (Minneapolis), LA Contemporary, Paperwork, and HVW8 (Los Angeles), CANart (Ibiza), Screw Gallery (Leeds), Glovebox (Dublin), and Beams (Tokyo).
