Ryan Lee
Ryan Lee (b. 2001, Sacramento, CA) is a visual artist based in New York. Made primarily with acrylic and airbrush, his works transform overlooked spaces into dreamlike scenes. Sourced from personal and found imagery, his paintings capture fleeting moments from a fading technological era, dissolving the boundary between reality and constructed environments. He recently earned his MFA in Studio Art from NYU Steinhardt and graduated with distinction from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2023, where he completed his BFA with an emphasis in painting and drawing. Lee has exhibited work with Strada World (NYC), Color Club (Chicago), Good Mother Studio (Oakland), Untitled Void (Seoul, South Korea), and 80WSE (NYC), with upcoming group exhibitions at MEY Gallery (Los Angeles) and Common Ground (Seattle).
